So, the days are getting longer and the summer is on the horizon - but with the last scheduled winter league fixtures next week,
how about encouraging your team to compete in the GSA Summer League this June/July ?
This is a much less formal event,
with fixtures consisting of 3 singles and 2 doubles matches, and teams
playing each other only once. Matches are played on a Wednesday evening.
All
costs are shared, with the beer & food arrangements sorted out
before hand by the team captains. Entry fee is now a 'nominal' £10.
Please let me know if you would like to enter a team this year.

SQUASH A MILE FOR SPORT RELIEF
Fancy taking part in
this year’s Sport Relief? Squash-a-mile challenges players across the whole
country to run the Sport Relief Mile…….. wall to wall within the confines of a
squash court.
At 9.75m in length,
the challenge is to run (or walk ……) 165 lengths of a squash court in the UK’s
fastest time and we are hopeful of raising at least a five figure donation for
Sport Relief.
Players are required
to raise a minimum of £20 in sponsorship money (to be donated online
at www.justgiving.com/sportreliefsquashamile)
before running their own squash-a-mile with a friend or adjudicator to confirm
their time. Players can then submit their time to ESR and the top 4 times will
be invited to the finals of the Canary Wharf classic to take part in the
Squash-a-Mile Grand Final (Friday 23rd March 2012), times
should be submitted to mytime@engalndsquashandracketball.com,
with the closing date for entries Midnight on Friday 16th March
2012.
